Terms of Use
Last updated: August 2, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of luay.me (the “Website”), which is operated by Luay Abu-Shariha from Jordan. By using the Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
Purpose of the Website
The Website is a personal professional site that shares information about my experience, educational material, downloadable resources, and links to content hosted on other platforms. It does not offer user accounts, paid products, or transactions through the Website.
Educational information, not professional advice
The Website’s technology, artificial intelligence, business, and operational content is provided for general information and education. It is not legal, financial, medical, cybersecurity, engineering, or other regulated professional advice, and it should not be treated as a substitute for advice tailored to your circumstances. Technologies and third-party services change quickly; verify important information and test tools safely before relying on them.
Ownership and permitted use
Unless a page, download, or linked repository states otherwise, the Website’s original text, design, branding, graphics, videos, and downloadable resources are owned by Luay Abu-Shariha or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may view the Website and download its resources for personal, internal professional, and educational use. You may quote limited portions with clear attribution and may share links to the Website. You may also share an unmodified downloadable resource for non-commercial educational purposes if you preserve its attribution and any notices included in it.
You may not sell the Website’s resources, remove attribution, present them as your own, publish a materially copied version, use them to build a competing paid resource, or otherwise exploit them commercially without prior written permission. Code hosted on GitHub is governed by the licence, if any, included in the relevant repository. Third-party names, logos, content, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Website unlawfully or in a way that infringes another person’s rights. You must not attempt to bypass security controls, access non-public areas, introduce malicious code, interfere with the Website’s operation, overload its services through abusive automated requests, or falsely suggest that I endorse you, your organisation, or your work.
External services and links
The Website links to or displays information from independent services such as YouTube, GitHub, LinkedIn, and X. Those services are not controlled by me, and their content, availability, security, terms, and privacy practices are their responsibility. A link or reference does not necessarily imply endorsement. Use third-party services at your own discretion and review their applicable terms.
Availability and changes
I may correct, update, remove, or suspend any part of the Website without notice. I do not promise that the Website, a download, or an external link will always be available, uninterrupted, current, secure, or error-free. If misuse or a security risk is detected, access may be limited or blocked.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated in these Terms and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the Website, its content, downloads, or linked services.
You are responsible for how you use the information and resources, including checking outputs, licences, security, compatibility, and suitability before applying them. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, remedies, or mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains how personal data and browser storage are handled when you use the Website.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, without prejudice to any mandatory protection that applies to you under another law. If a concern arises, please contact me first so we can try to resolve it informally. If it cannot be resolved, the competent courts of Jordan will have jurisdiction to the extent permitted by law.
Severability and waiver
If a provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
Changes to these Terms
I may update these Terms when the Website or applicable requirements change. The revised Terms will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Website after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Language
The English and Arabic versions are intended to communicate the same terms. If an inconsistency arises, the English version will prevail to the extent permitted by applicable law.
